I’d like to tell you a bit about myself…

I trained as a Dental Hygienist in 1997 at Guys Hospital and won the School Prize for that year and I have happily been treating patients since.  I’m used to dealing with nervous patients and get great satisfaction from working with people, getting them good results and gaining their trust.  I am also top of the game at the clinical side of things and intricate, careful attention to detail.  I am a perfectionist!

I decided to train as a permanent make up specialist because I wanted to branch out into something different and love that feeling of giving someone a bit of a makeover!  I like to spend time with people as I love to chat and listen to people and hopefully make a difference to them.

My journey to becoming a permanent make up specialist began with one to one training from Katy Jobbins, whom has won many awards for her makeup and mentoring.

 

I have had my eyebrows and upper eyeliner done by Katy,so I can appreciate what a client experiences and also what to expect

afterwards and the healing process.

• My dental training has given me the best knowledge in cross infection and decontamination, which is kept up to date with Continuing Professional Development.

• In addition, I have a certificate in Tattoo Infection Control Level 2 (VTQ)

• The relevance of medical histories and what to do in medical emergencies.

• Trained in the correct measures and PPE during the COVID pandemic.

• I receive referrals from Kingston Hospital and the Royal Marsden for clients to have permanent eyebrows ahead of chemotherapy treatment

• I treat a high percentage of alopecia clients providing a life changing service 

• I was selected by David Lloyd to appear in their members benefits magazine

 

This is the most satisfying job in the world to me. Every client is different and it’s exciting achieving the look they want and enjoying their response to their treatment.
