FAQ

What should I consider when booking my appointment date?

DOES IT HURT?

We can use a numbing cream that works very effectively to numb the area so that it is pain free. This can be reapplied during the treatment if needed.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

I allow a full two hours per treatment. This is plenty of time to create your look, allow numbing, have a chat and a beverage and perfect your treatment. Permananent makeup is a two part process. A top up is carried out 6 weeks after your initial treatment to perfect any areas that require a little more attention after healing. This is included in the price.

How long does it last?

Microblading and permanent make up can last for years. The pigments used fade naturally and evenly over time. The amount of fading depends on the amount of sun exposure, abrasion from exfoliants, and skin type and age.

You can then choose to have it done again. You do not have to keep having it done once you have started, but I think you will find you'll want to!

CAN ANYONE HAVE PERMANENT MAKE UP?

There are certain contraindications to having permanent make up. For example, you must be over 18, you must not be under the influence of drugs/alcohol and you must have mental capacity to give consent to treatment. Treatment cannot be carried out on recent scarring, infections, raised birthmarks, warts or moles in the area to be treated. Other contraindications are pregnancy and breastfeeding, pacemaker, epilepsy, diabetes (must be controlled) and people with severe body dysmorphia. It is advisable not to have botox or fillers prior to eyebrow treatments as the brows need to be in their natural position to allow for optimum results. You must not have a chemical peel for a minimum of two weeks prior to treatment.

Please note: Certain skin conditions and irritations and upcoming chemotherapy will require written permission from your GP or Oncologist.

WHAT IF IT GOES WRONG?

This is very unlikely.  A template is drawn onto the area, measuring may be carried out with callipers and you will be asked to look in the mirror to check that you are happy before anything permanent is applied. Treatment is carried out slowly and precisely and continually checked by you and myself. Photographs will be taken prior, during and after treatment.

CAN YOU CORRECT PERMANENT MAKE UP DONE BY OTHER PRACTITIONERS?

Sometimes it is possible to improve on something you have had done elsewhere that you are not happy with. However, if it can’t be improved on it may be necessary to have some of the pigment removed by laser before corrective work can be carried out.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Please go to prices in the main menu to see my price list. Please note: Annual top ups are after my treatments only, and are half the current treatment price for up to 18 months. After18 months post treatment 70% of full treatment cost is chargeable. After 2 years post treatment the full price is charged

Can I reshedule or cancel my appointment?

A depsoit of £50 is taken to secure your appointment time and is non refundable. However, this will be deducted from the balance once you have resheduled your appointment. Please note that I require 48 hrs notice for cancellations and resheduling. Clients that arrive late (20 minuets or more) may have to be re scheduled and your depsoit forfeited as permanent make up cannot be rushed.

WHERE ARE YOU? CAN I PARK?

I am situated in West Molesey, close to Hampton court, Esher and Kingston. You can park easily on the road outside.

DISABLED ACCESS?

Sadly, I do not have wheelchair access. However, in some cases I am happy to come to you.

I recommend clients not to have permanent makeup two weeks minimum prior to a special occasion or a holiday. This is because treated areas can look bolder and more obvious initially as healing takes place, and the treated area also needs to be kept dry for 5 days minimum and should not be exposed to the sun.
